Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has increased the frequency of flights to Moscow as part of its summer schedule. The non-stop flight from Muscat will depart at 15:35 and arrive in Moscow at 20:55, while the return sector will depart from Moscow at 23:20 and arrive in Muscat at 06:30. Oman Air Hosts ERIL Event

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, recently hosted the Emirates Regional Immigration Liaison (ERIL) team for a Documents Verification Workshop at the Novotel Muscat Airport. Organised by the airline’s Security department, the event was part of ongoing cooperation between ERIL member states, airlines and key border officials, to prevent travel on fraudulent documents, deter illegal immigration and human trafficking cases, increase early intervention, and identify and respond appropriately. During the workshop, Oman Air’s Document Verification Unit (DVU) was recognised for its achievement in intercepting more than 350 cases of immigration forgery across its network during 2022, which were then transferred to the relevant local authorities. Alauddin Al Ali, Senior Manager - Airline Security at Oman Air, said, “Security is paramount to our operations as an airline and it is key for us to develop strong networks with Liaison Officers, airlines, officials and organisations like ERIL, from a range of countries. Through the frequent exchange of information and tools, we are able to stay updated on trends and issues in security and fraud, prevent and disrupt such cases, and above all, protect the safety of our guests.” ERIL is a multi-agency group composed of representatives from all over the world, who collaborate to combat illegal migration through joint disruption efforts, information sharing, and training.
